How Jobiit Matches You

When you post a job on Jobiit, we match it to one trusted trader — we don't run a bidding marketplace where dozens of businesses compete for your details. This page explains, in plain language, how that match is decided and how paid products can (and cannot) influence it.
1. Who is eligible for your job
A trader can only ever be matched to your job if all of the following are true:
- They serve your location. Your job's address falls inside the trader's own declared service area.
- They offer the service you need. The trader's business actively provides the service category you selected.
- They are verified and approved. The trader has passed identity verification and their company has been approved to operate on Jobiit.
- They are available. The trader is active and accepting work.
Nothing — including any payment a trader makes to Jobiit — can add a trader to this eligible group. Payment never widens who can serve you.
2. How the match is ordered
Among eligible traders, Jobiit notifies traders about your job and the match is confirmed when a trader accepts it. The main parameters that determine ordering are, in order of importance:
- Distance — traders closer to your job's location are preferred.
- Rating — the trader's review rating and history on Jobiit.
Your job is matched to a single trader. If that trader can't complete the work, the job returns to matching.
3. Where money can play a role
Jobiit may offer traders two optional paid products (they may not yet be available in your area). Both are strictly limited in what they can do:
Sponsored results
Traders can pay for labelled visibility — for example, a "Sponsored" card shown while you post a job or on your home screen.
- Sponsored results are always labelled with "Sponsored" (or an equivalent label).
- A sponsored trader is only ever shown where they genuinely cover your location and offer the service you selected — the same eligibility rules as Section 1.
- Sponsored results also require the trader to meet a minimum review rating.
- You can always ignore a sponsored result and continue with normal matching. Choosing a sponsored trader is entirely optional.
Paid priority
Traders can pay to be notified earlier about new jobs that match their service area and skills — a bounded head start (measured in minutes) before other eligible traders are notified.
- Priority affects timing and ordering only — never eligibility. A paying trader cannot appear for a job they don't cover.
- Priority members must meet Jobiit's verification, approval, and minimum-rating standards; a member who falls below them loses the benefit.
- Priority never removes a non-paying eligible trader from consideration. If no priority member takes your job in the head-start window, it is released to all eligible traders as normal.
4. What money can never do
- Payment can never make an unqualified, unverified, or out-of-area trader eligible for your job.
- Payment can never exempt a trader from Jobiit's verification and quality standards.
- Payment can never hide reviews or alter a trader's rating.
- Unlabelled paid placement does not exist on Jobiit — if a result is paid, it says so.
