Last updated: March 19, 2026
AGREEMENT TO OUR LEGAL TERMS
These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and Jobiit Technologies Limited ("Jobiit," "we," "us," or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the Jobiit mobile application ("Jobiit") and website (https://jobiit.com), as well as any other media form, media channel, or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the "Services").
Jobiit is a marketplace platform connecting customers with independent local traders and tradespeople. Jobiit acts solely as an intermediary - we facilitate the connection between customers and traders but do not employ traders, supervise their work, provide tools or materials, or assume any liability for the services performed. When you accept a quote from a trader, you enter into a direct contract with that trader (or their company) - not with Jobiit. Jobiit is not a party to that contract.
You agree that by accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS OF USE, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. If you do not agree with the amended Terms, you may close your account before the effective date.
All users who are minors in the jurisdiction in which they reside (generally under the age of 18) are not permitted to register for or use the Services.
Our Privacy Policy, available at https://jobiit.com/legal/privacy, is incorporated into these Terms of Use. Please review it. By using the Services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. The Services are hosted in Ireland.

2. OUR SERVICES
The information provided when using the Services is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation or which would subject us to any registration requirement within such jurisdiction or country. Accordingly, those persons who choose to access the Services from other locations do so on their own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
3. PLATFORM ROLE & INTERMEDIARY STATUS
Jobiit acts solely as an intermediary platform connecting customers with independent traders. Jobiit does not employ traders, supervise their work, provide tools or materials, or assume any liability for the services performed. When you accept a Quote from a trader, you enter into a direct contract with that trader (or their company) — not with Jobiit. Jobiit is not a party to that contract.
4. NO GUARANTEE OF SERVICE QUALITY
Jobiit does not warrant, endorse, or guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any trader's work. While we require traders to hold valid insurance and may verify certain qualifications, verification does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty. We cannot guarantee that traders maintain insurance or qualifications at all times between checks. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a trader is suitable for your needs.
Where Jobiit verifies a trader's identity using third-party services (such as Stripe Identity), this confirms the trader's identity document only and does not constitute a background check, character reference, criminal records check, or endorsement of character or competence.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Our Intellectual Property
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Services, including all Content and Marks. They are protected by copyright and trademark laws and treaties around the world. All such intellectual property rights are reserved.
Your Use of Our Services
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services and to download or print a copy of any portion of the Content to which you have properly gained access, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
If you wish to make any use of the Services, Content, or Marks other than as set out in this section or elsewhere in our Terms, please address your request to: hello@jobiit.com. If we ever grant you permission to post, reproduce, or publicly display any part of our Services or Content, you must identify us as the owners or licensors.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in and to the Services, Content, and Marks. Any breach of these Intellectual Property Rights will constitute a material breach of our Terms and your right to use our Services will terminate immediately.
Your Submissions and Contributions
By submitting content to us (e.g., job descriptions, photos, messages), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform such content in connection with the Services and Jobiit's business.
For reviews and ratings, the specific licence terms in Section 10 (Ratings & Reviews) apply instead of this general licence.
6. USER REPRESENTATIONS
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
- All registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete.
- You will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update such registration information as necessary.
- You have the legal capacity and you agree to comply with these Terms.
- You are not under the age of 18.
- You are not a minor in the jurisdiction in which you reside.
- You will not access the Services through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise.
- You will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
- Your use of the Services will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Services.
7. USER REGISTRATION
You may be required to register to use the Services. You agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
8. PAYMENT TERMS
- Jobs may require a Deposit (percentage set by the trader in their Quote) payable before work begins, and a Final Payment upon completion.
- All payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of the trader. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. All payments are in Euros (€). Jobiit does not hold customer funds — payments flow directly to the trader's Stripe account. You pay only the amount shown in the trader's Quote — Jobiit does not add any fees or surcharges to your payment.
- Jobiit's Platform Fee is charged to the trader and deducted from their payout. It does not affect the amount you pay.
- VAT on the job itself is calculated by the trader and displayed on all Quotes. The trader is solely responsible for the accuracy of VAT charges.
- Invoices are generated via Stripe and accessible through the app. Each invoice itemises: labour (ex-VAT), materials (ex-VAT), and trader VAT.
- You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all payments made via the Services. You further agree to promptly update account and payment information, including email address and payment method, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
- We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment.
9. CANCELLATION, REFUND & COOLING-OFF RIGHTS
- 14-day cooling-off period: Under the Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. However, if you expressly request that work begins within this 14-day period, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, and you will owe a proportionate amount for services already provided if you withdraw before completion.
- You may cancel a Job before a Quote is accepted at no cost.
- Once a Quote is accepted: cancellation terms are between you and the trader. Jobiit does not guarantee refunds for accepted Quotes or commenced work.
- If a Deposit has been paid and the trader has not commenced work, you may request a refund through the app. Jobiit will facilitate communication but is not responsible for issuing refunds — refunds are at the trader's discretion or as required by Irish consumer law.
- Where Jobiit facilitates a refund, the refunded amount will be the amount you originally paid. Jobiit's Platform Fee (charged to the trader) is a separate matter between Jobiit and the trader.
- Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022.
10. RATINGS & REVIEWS
- After job completion, both parties may leave a rating (1–5 stars) and review within 30 days.
- Once published, ratings are permanent and cannot be edited or withdrawn (except by Jobiit for violations of these Terms).
- Traders may post a public response to any review left on their profile.
- Reviews must relate to your firsthand experience with the trader and the services provided. Reviews must not contain: offensive or abusive language, discriminatory references, illegal content, personally identifiable information of others, or content unrelated to the service provided.
- Jobiit may remove or flag reviews that violate these guidelines or our Acceptable Use rules in Section 13.
- Jobiit does not verify the accuracy of reviews and is not liable for their content.
- In-platform display licence: By submitting a review, you grant Jobiit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your review content (including star ratings, text, and any associated photos) on the Jobiit Platform, website, and app store listings for the purpose of operating the Jobiit service. This licence is necessary for the Platform to function and is based on Jobiit's legitimate interest under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f).
- External marketing licence (separate opt-in required): If you opt in at the point of review submission, you additionally grant Jobiit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your review content in external marketing materials, including social media campaigns, paid advertising, and third-party promotional materials. Reviews may be used in anonymised or attributed form. You may withdraw this consent at any time via app settings or by contacting us at hello@jobiit.com, and Jobiit will cease using your review in external marketing materials within a reasonable period (not exceeding 30 days).
11. HOW WE MATCH YOU WITH TRADERS
Traders are displayed to you based on the following main ranking parameters:
- Geographic proximity — traders whose service area covers your job location
- Service category match — traders offering the specific service you need
- Availability — traders currently accepting new jobs
- Aggregate rating — traders with higher customer ratings may appear higher in results
Jobiit does not accept payment from traders for higher placement. No paid or sponsored rankings are used.
12. PRE-CONTRACT INFORMATION
Before entering into a contract facilitated through Jobiit, please note:
- The trader you are contracting with is a professional trader within the meaning of EU consumer law.

Apple and Android Devices
The following terms apply when you use the mobile application obtained from either the Apple Store or Google Play (each an "App Distributor"):
- The licence granted to you for the mobile application is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the application on a device that utilises the Apple iOS or Android operating systems, as applicable, and in accordance with the usage rules set forth in the applicable App Distributor's terms of service.

The App Distributor has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the mobile application.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App Distributor will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the mobile application.
- You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a US government embargo, or that has been designated by the US government as a "terrorist supporting" country and (ii) you are not listed on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the mobile application.
- You acknowledge and agree that the App Distributors are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that each App Distributor will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
16. LOCATION DATA
- By posting a Job, you consent to your job address being shared with traders in the relevant service area for the purpose of matching and quoting.
- Your precise address is shared only with traders who are matched to your Job. Your coordinates are used for distance calculations but are not publicly visible.
17. DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND TRADERS

- Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer protection law, including the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022.
- Small Claims Procedure: For disputes valued at €2,000 or less, you may be entitled to use the Irish Small Claims Procedure through the District Court. This is a low-cost, simplified process designed for consumer claims. Details are available at www.courts.ie. Jobiit encourages the use of this procedure where appropriate as an accessible alternative to formal litigation.
- You may also access the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

- Jobiit is not liable for any acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of traders, including property damage, personal injury, or financial loss arising from services performed.

In addition to terminating or suspending your account, we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action, including without limitation pursuing civil, criminal, and injunctive redress.

26. GENERAL TERMS
- Assignment: Jobiit may assign, transfer, or sub-contract its rights and obligations under these Terms (in whole or in part) without your prior consent, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, or sale of all or substantially all of Jobiit's assets. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Jobiit's prior written consent.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Where possible, the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
- Electronic communications: You agree that all communications from Jobiit — including notices, agreements, disclosures, and other communications — may be provided electronically (via email, in-app notification, or through the Platform) and that such electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing, in accordance with the Electronic Commerce Act 2000.

- User data: We will maintain certain data that you transmit to the Services for the purpose of managing the performance of the Services, as well as data relating to your use of the Services. Although we perform regular routine backups of data, you are solely responsible for all data that you transmit or that relates to any activity you have undertaken using the Services.
